The Asylum of Invalids of "General Hospital San Felipe" received a group of 19 volunteers came to give them encouragement and hope to 59 seniors. These people are here because they are sick or have been abandoned by their relatives.
Angela Diaz, who is the Director of the Centre said, I am very grateful because this activity is an ingredient of encouragement for all those who support the asylum, we have many needs that they have carried feel very helpless.
Maritza Rodriguez, who has 80 yeras old and 20 years to leave in the asylum commented: I am happy that this world still having people who have the heart to spend love for us, we have so much need, look at my skin burns in my back, the skin burns came because I stay all time on this bed, I can't stand up. thank you for coming visit us.
Claudia Sierra, who is a volunteer of the Foundation, commented: I am very happy to share with both ancient who passing alone many time and with so many wanting to share love; I want to support the pharmacy of this asylum.
Activity started giving thanks to God with a prayer and asking for their love and companionship there, we call this activity "Receiving Friendship," we continue to make delivery of a supply of food for asylum. Then we deliver to each elder with a glass oask milk pancakes and created especially for them, we talk with each of them and they told us of their experiences and showed us his friendship and affection. Then we deliver soda and cake to culminate with the holding, some of them expressed with tears in their eyes that "well we like to hold us."
